In September 2007, Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) received a five-year, Clinical and Translational Science Award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). One aim of programs funded under this award is to provide high-quality, multidisciplinary training in clinical research to promote career development for clinical investigators early in their careers.

To this end, Washington University is offering a Postdoctoral Program to junior faculty, postdocs and fellows in medicine and other allied health professions who wish to pursue academic careers in clinical research.
